Whitney Wilson is a recent graduate of the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park. She recieved her Master of Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on Education Policy in May 2017. She also earned a B.S. in Bioengineering and a Minor in International Engineering at UMD in May 2015.
As a Lockheed Martin Research Associate, Whitney contributed to case studies on the use of outcome-based support strategies to improve performance while reducing costs and the improvement and sustainment of existing weapons systems through modernization. She has also helped research capital investment strategies and their application to military depot funding and has studied the impacts on technology transfer on the aircraft industry. She has held previous internships at DuPont and the National Science Foundation and she hopes to use her two degrees to help bridge the divide between STEM fields and policy implementation.
